DAY FOUR - MEDITATION AND INNER PEACE
Nearly coming to an end for this little series of mine!
Today I wanted to give a little thought about how I'd like my 2016 to be in a more intense sense, or better from the inside, from the side of meditation and feeling good. This little painting is supposed to be a crystal, by the way haha
I started meditating in 2015 and I slowly learned (it took a while) that meditating doesn't just mean sitting somewhere and not thinking of anything.. so many things can be called meditation! For example, even just painting with a little bit of relaxing music could become meditation, if you enjoy every moment of it and let all your deeper thoughts fly away. Attention, little disclaimer, meditation IS NOT HIPPIE, if you're one of those people who think even that being hippie is something horrible. Meditation is the only way of living in peace with your surrounding and with your self, first of all. It helps you go on everyday, it helps you live in a more open-minded way and see things from different prospectives.
You know that effect that alcool or a drug could give you? Meditate for at least 5 minutes a day and come tell me how it feels.. you'll get higher than the airplanes and without hurting yourself haha
By the way, what I wanted to say is that I want to get more into meditation, and even tho I often make yoga too, I want to get better in that too. I want to prevent myself from negativity and heal my soul and body with it, little by little, everyday.
Whats with crystals then? They are a big part of it, which I still need to discover, so let's take some time this year to get more into them too!
Tomorrow is the last day before 2016 begins, are you scared or excited?
See you tomorrow!!
DAY THREE - FLOWERS EVERY WEEK
If you followed me a little while ago, this has been in my head as something I felt the need to do, or better buying fresh flowers at least once a week.
Having fresh flowers in your home just changes everything: I often change apartment in Berlin and sometimes I need to get one in a short period of time, so the result of my researches maybe its not the best and I don't feel 100% comfortable in it. But as soon as I start making everything more in my style, changing places to furnitures and having my clothes around included, then I can be everywhere and I'd feel good, because one good thing I have (among many other annoying ones maybe haha) is that I can often create my own little space even out of the shittiest shit.
But you need to know, one thing that makes every kind of place better instantly are fresh flowers!
I feel like this "new years resolutions" are often just "life resolutions", in an updated version, because we change anyways every year, and so do our interests.
What I'd like to do, that I never always remember to do, is fixing a particular day per week in which I'll buy flowers to make the room a hundred times more filled with positive energy!
My favorite flowers of all times are those huge white daisies (that unfortunately day can die too soon) that give nearly a sensation of clean space around you... and they're so delicate and never "too much" (not that flowers can be too much, but sometimes it just depends).
Another flower I love is Orchids, but this is the fault of my mother, because she loves them too and she basically transmitted me this love haha
So this was my number three, I hope this mini series is not too boring for you and that you'll read tomorrow's one too! :)
Have a nice day.
If you follow me on Instagram (if not, hi, my name there is always @pollyalba), you might know that I basically decided to make me a little present, buying myself some beautiful watercolors, new painter brushes and a thick paper.. thick enough to resist to either my imagination fails or enjoyable results.
I had then this idea to make 5 small paintings for each day that divides us from 2016, representing everyday one resolution for the new upcoming year, which I'm really excited for, and learning how to paint at the same time!
DAY ONE - CONNECTION WITH NATURE
I just decided to put in a post some of the photos I took around Italy during this month, which is now coming to an ending.
I have lived for more than 14 years in the centre of Italy, but I then went to live in Berlin one year and a half ago, so anytime I come, I kinda have the feeling of being for a half like a tourist here.. weird, I know!
So this Gallery of photos is a mix between Florence, Perugia, Rome and Assisi, put together without a real order. Let me know if you've visited one of these and hope you enjoy them :)
December is been a month full of travels since I went out of Berlin for the holidays, and before every flight or train trip, I tend to take a lot of time to choose the music I'll bring with me.
I usually have three methods to select some good songs:
◉ If I recently liked one or two songs of a particular band or artist, I'll just download the whole discography and discover if I like the rest I didn't listen to with calm in my flight/train trip.
◉ If I don't have any idea I just let Spotify decide for me! haha
◉ I tend to choose, in case of flight, psychedelic kind of bands, because that's what I feel it fits the best with the sights of clouds and skies from the airplane.
So.. what was my favorite music in this period?!
1. NAHKO AND MEDICINE FOR THE PEOPLE
Some friends of mine introduced me to this band and I felt such a good energy from
their songs that I still can't stop listening to them. My favorite song has to be "Budding Tree", maybe because of the deep connection I found to have with Nature and the words of the songs that just describes that particular connection. Also, the official video is just made by followers of this band and it literally fills you up with feelings of love and freedom!

2. THE LESS I KNOW THE BETTER
This song from Tame Impala is something you'd expect to hear constantly running on the radio, for how catchy it is.. but fortunately the mainstream music industry still didn't touch it 8)
Maybe I wouldn't watch the video because it's too strange for my little brain, but instead go to listen also to "Love Paranoia"!
If you have some money to spend in something cool and you live close to or in Berlin, I suggest to take a ticket for their concert in Columbiahalle on the 8th of February.
The song I've been listening to a lot is Kamikaze.. such a good idea from her to give this name to the song in this period! haha
But apart from that, the song is simply fun to listen to and it gives you nearly some summer vibes, that here in Italy since it's not THAT cold are perfect. It also always put me in the dance mood, and I often get ready with it!
I actually discovered MØ more than two years ago in the worst timing ever, while I was having my finals (more precisely the night before), and at a certain point I started to have more her songs in my mind than the things I was supposed to study haha
I saved the best for last!
I would say that this goes defenetly out of my comfort zone when it's about music, but what is the "comfort zone" when we're talking about music? Everything that gives you good feelings it's just perfect.
This band is called Yellow Monkey, directly from the 90s, and this song is taken from an anime.. I am so hyped to know how to play this song and I wouldn't mind making a cover of it, even tho my japanese knowledge is basically nonexistent! But why not..
To listen to it on repeat as I am doing at the moment: "Tactics"
Please let me know if you like one of the songs/artists I just listed, and I'm coming soon with a photo gallery kind of post for you guys!
Hope you have a nice day..

After more than a month I finally show up again on the blog world! My problem is actually my bad relationship with technology: my laptop left me one month ago and my phone wasn't usable until last week.. But I'll soon have a decent laptop and HOPEFULLY I'll then be able to write with good timing on my little lovely blog.
This combination is something I'm in love with as soon as it came home. I've always wanted that kind of skirt since I defenetly can't afford an American Apparel one 8) my only problem has always been that the ones I've found were not high waisted or not long enough!
So when I cam back home one day and saw what the delivery man left for me, I was totally happy and couldn't wait to try it. The quality it's reeeeally good and the color is a perfect option, instead of a black basic one. And the top.. don't ask why pink, but I recently got in love with light pink of all kinds!
Oh and.. did you see the hair? haha Just a little big change.. big because it's totally different from before, but little because I took that decision already two months ago so I was pretty much ready to see me this way. Also, everything can fit perfectly as soon as you feel comfortable in it, that's my main phrase :D
I have an airplane for my "first homeland", and I'll make a lot of photos for a future blog, in one week <3 nbsp="">3>
Hope to see you again here!
